I love finding the beauty in the everyday. The dignity and resolve of ordinary people and the unique details of their lives that help us frame our own more clearly. 

 

To get to those moments, a person must feel safe. Fortunately, there’s one thing I’ve always been good at. People find it easy to talk to me. I have a genuine empathy for others, and I think they can sense that. Whether I’m working with actors on their performances or real people and their stories, my job is to help open them up to do the most powerful thing you can do in advertising -

 

TELL THE TRUTH. 

Every ad campaign has the power to touch an audience and to remind you that the best time is often right now. That nudge to go do the thing you were gonna do before you got all busy. Book the flight. Build the pillow fort. Start the company. They make you feel like what comes next is of your making and that it’s possible. 

I received a BA in Philosophy from a small liberal arts college you’ve never heard of and a degree in Directing from LA Film School. I’m originally from Philadelphia but now call Southern California my home. I surf almost every day. My wife is a school teacher and my son is thirteen and knows everything so if you have a question...

 

I should probably mention that sarcasm is my other super power.
